Syria and Jordan 2010 Syria and Jordan, our new Arab discoveries. We cycled from Aleppo Syria to Amman in Jordan. Read more Kazachstan - Kyrgystan 2008! Kazachstan and Kyrgystan are two completely different countries. The Asy plateau is beautiful but hard to climb, the roads are horrible and if seems like we are on a hiking trip more than a bike holiday. During the trip the legs improve, Kyrgystan is wonderful and the back road to Naryn is phenomenal. Read more about Son Kul, melt down at 45 degrees, friendly people and the tunnel ...... We got it! Our new bike is here: El Conquistadores de Montanas We picked up our new Ventana Conquistadores de Montanas. Again with full suspension, but with a more traditional frame. Somewhat less weight and a Rohloff hub make this bike ready for our new adventures. We justed returned from the Blue Ridge Mountains (Georgia, USA) and a short trip in Holland, and we are very happy with this bike. The suspension works much better than on our previous bike, and the handling is better. The true test for the Rohloff has not yet come, since we have seen nothing but sunshine ;-)! The bike is not completely ready yet, the rear rack is not attached since the frame has to be adjusted for it. Alex from MTBTandems (where we bought our bike) will send a new seatstay with eyelets on it. Ventana is building it specially to our demands. The new bike has all the parts we wanted. Also made possible by our sponsors; Magura, BOB gear and Schwalbe. For more details and our sponsors and our new bike and other gear see the materials page.... read on

| Cuba; It's all about the system In November 2007 is Cuba our destination. A relatively flat country, with nice weather, That is what we need because we have not been training, mostly due to Marks knee injury, but on the other hand: what else would we need? Besides, they have asphalt and incredibly friendly people, which made this an easy going holiday. See pictures of sun, sea and coconuts.... read more |
